The Dutch Eredivisie are said to be considering a stunning U-turn on their decision to cancel their season following the threat of legal action from a number of clubs. It was announced on Friday that the division would effectively be declared null and void as a result of the coronavirus crisis, with no team winning the title or being relegated. A statement from Dutch football's governing body the KNVB claimed "it has become impossible to play out the 2019-20 season". But according to Dutch publication AD teams such as Cambuur - who were 11 points clear in the second tier and on the brink of promotion to the Eredivisie - are considering legal action due to the financial hit they would receive as a result of the decision.
