Kiterunner is a critically acclaimed book...hosseini is a natural..but i felt that story was too melodramatic....but it may just connect with you..so no harm in giving it a go..certain descriptions are worth reading

Gone Girl
had to read it before I watch Fincher's film. a deftly done pyscho-thriller that plays to type, with many twists, turns and backflips... real page-turner.
there's a lot of material in here that could've ended up as dull pulp with a lesser writer. but Gillian Flynn, clearly, is much more than that. perceptive, stylish. she's Elmore Leonard with a Stephen King chill. Read it!
