Chowringee is about the life and times of the sanker working in one of the most reputed hotels in calcutta , Shajahan Hotel .It narrates few incidents and people who influenced or rather affected his life . Considering the era in which the book was written (1962 ) , the cult status it acquired isn't surprising .

pakshe eppo vaayikumpo oru shock value onnum ella...so its just about a fine book . characters ellam valare rooted aye ezhuthi vetchitundu ...on the whole full on engaging alla...frankly i lost interest towards the end

Kmala valare humour aayitt oru cheyda oru cheru kadha ubdaairunnu,i forgot its name..muthshan/muthashi marikkunnatham tharvaattile swath /or something lyke dat ull plot aayirunnu..slang maati pidich ezudiyad..kamalayute baaaki cherukadhakal onnum vaayochaal also manasil nilkkilla ..ee pothu sobaavam kaaranam,still writibg style kidu aanu,especially sex okke,adinte veekshanagal :Pmt yudem pala kadha kalilum ide pole,darky moody introspective heross !!

Immortals of Meluha

Definitely a engaging read but at times the adopted pattern of Aam admi style conversation for mythological characters lessen the impact of otherwise intense scenes . Like Shiva saying ILU to Sati was totally lol .
Also the narrative have a filmsy shade .
Informative annu or say works as a brush up ...
Got a reach to the masses .
