South film industry is going to see Tamil super star Surya, Hindi super star Amitabh Bhachan and Malayalam super star Mohanlal in the same film which was to be directed by Major Ravi



Director Ravi who mostly prefers the storylines based on armed forces is now making another film based on the Kandahar Indian Airlines flight hijack incident which upset the nation in 1999.

Earlier, it was said that bollywood Big B is joining with Mohanlal and now the latest news is Surya also signed for this project. Surya already had done this type of commando role in ‘Varanam Aayiram’. It’s going to be a bi-lingual movie to be made simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam that is going to shot in Kerala, Delhi and Nepal.

The combination looks too good to be true. But the south Indian audience can get ready to see Tamil superstar Suriya, Hindi super star Amitabh Bhachan and Malayalam super star Mohanlal all in the same film.

Tamil super hero Surya, Hindi super star Amitabh Bhachan and Malayalam super star Mohanlal all in the same film. Sounds too good for all south indian audience

Major Ravi who is known for films with armed forces background is making another film based on the Kandahar Indian Airlines flight hijack incident which rattled the nation in 1999. For this film he is said to have signed Surya and Amitabh to play important roles along with Mohanlal. Suriya who is very popular is Kerala as much as he is in Tamil is said to have impressed by the commando story immediately allotted the required dates. He already has the experience of playing a commando in ‘Varanam Aayiram’.

The movie will be a bilingual made simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam and will be shot in Kerala, Delhi and Nepal. Major Ravi’s most recent outing in Tamil was his Keerthichakra’s Tamil version ‘Aran’ in 2006 which starred Mohanlal, Jeeva and Gopika.

If this casting gets through that would be a sort of a coup not attempted before.

Udhayanidhi Stalin has once again signed up Suriya after their astounding success with Aadhavan. This time around AR Murugadoss will wield the megaphone. This combination has upped the expectation level in the film industry, as Suriya and Murugadoss’s Ghajini was a smash hit. There are also reports that Shruti Haasan could be signed up for this film.

Ravi K Chandran is in charge of the camera. Harris Jeyaraj will score the music for this film. The buzz in Kollywood is that this yet-to-be-named film will commence in April 2010.

Suriya - Murugadoss project

It is long overdue; Murugadoss has been missing from Tamil for more than 4 years now. Yes, he has been busy in Telugu and created quite a sensation in Bollywood. Now, there is news that he is coming back to home turf to be back with the man with whom he started the Ghajini success story. Suriya is yet to commit anything after Singam which suggests that his project will be with Murugadoss. Though there have been absolutely no hints about the nature of the project or about when it is intended to begin, just the news of the duo’s coming together has created quite a flutter in Kollywood.

Of late we have been hearing a lot about the A R Murugadas film produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. While the confirmed news was that Suriya will be teaming up with Murugadas after the super success of ‘Ghajini’ in 2005. Yesterday we delivered the news of Ravi K. Chandran handling the camera for the said film and Harris Jayaraj has started composing the music.

Now another surprising news doing rounds is that, Kamal’s beautiful daughter Shruthi Haasan will make a dream debut in Tamil opposite Suriya. But we also heard Shruthi is packing her bags to Mumbai to give another try in Bollywood after her first film ‘Luck’ did not charm the Indian audience.

The new Suriya film has been generating more interest every passing day. But didn’t we also say that this Murugadas film will happen only next year? Don’t worry. We’ll be there to tell you everything as it happens.

Surya Completes Singam Shooting

Surya has nearly completed his shooting for his upcoming film Singam. Surya and Anuksha along with crew members has flown to the exotic locations of Dubai along with choreographer Brindha to shot for a song.

Within 7 days the 2 duet songs were shot across the exotic locations of Dubai and Muscat with Brindha choreographing them. The original schedule to shoot two duet songs was 10 days, but because of Surya’s dedication the crew was able to complete the songs in 7 days and return to chennai. The entire Singam crew is amazed at Surya’s dedication to work.

Singam is being produced by Studio Green Productions Gnanavel Raja, uncle of Surya. Prakash Raj does the villian role in the movie and Vivek takes care of the comedy. Devi Sri Prasad has scored music for the film. The movie is all set to hit the screens in the month of April and it will be a big summer release. Singam is one of the most expected movies of 2010 since Surya is back after hat trick of Box office hits with Vaaranam Aayiram, Ayan and Aadhavan.
