There are some projects in Malyalam cinema , which are announced earlier by some of the leading directors with prominent stars in lead.
But unfortunately this projects did not work. This thread is listing some of those projects.

JOSHY- MAMMOOTTY
One of the most successful combination in Malayalam cinema, there are some good projects announced in the name of this combo.
In early 90's, Jemy movies announced a movie with Mammootty and Vijayasanthi in lead. Kaloor Dennis was the script writer, and Joshy was the Director. But this project didn't work.

VAMSAM
This movie was also announced with Mammootty in lead. Director- Joshy . Script- Dennis Joseph.

CIVILIAN
In 1994, Shogun films announced this movie with Mammoottty in the lead. T Damodaran was the script writer, Joshy was the director.

SIDHARTHA
BHADRAN –MAMMOOTTY
In early 90's, Bhadran announced a movie titled SIDHARTHA with Mammootty in the lead. The movie was supposed to be shot in Rajasthan and even the song recording was done. But it didn't work.

MANIKYAKALLU
First Ajayan and then Priyadarsan plan to visualize this MT story. But Manikyakallu didn't work. Mohanlal was in the lead.

VARGAM
RENJITH- MOHANLAL
After Ravana Prabhu , Renjith announced a movie titled Vargam with Mohanlal. But this project also get cancelled.

JAYARAJ-MOHANLAL-SURESHGOPI
Surya films announced this project in 1997 with Mohanlal and Sureshgopi in lead. This project was set in the backdrop of Mysore with horse racing as the main subject. But didn't work.

ALAXANDER THE GREAT
Jomon announced this title and movie earlier in mid 90's. Now Murali Nagavally announced the same title with Mohanlal in the lead.

DHANUSHKKODI
aadyam priyan-lal team cheyanirunna project,,,started shooting also
later This was announced by Jomon with Mammootty in the lead. then he announced that Sureshgopi is playing the lead role. Anyhow, this project didn't work.

BRAND
Directed by Shaji Kailas y in SN Swamy's script Brand was announced four years back, but didn't work.

PARAMADHIKARAM
After Narasimham , Shaji Kailas announced this movie with Mammootty playing the role of Nandakumar Marar, advocate. Renjith was the script writer, but the project didn't work

COLONEL
Shaji Kailas announced this movie with Mammootty in the lead. TK Rajeev Kumar was the script writer. This also get cancelled.

IRUTTI VAVACHAN
Irutti Vavachan was announced by Shaji Kailas with Mammootty playing Double role, but didn't work.

BHEESHMAR
Lohithadas announced this movie before Arayannangalude veedu. Mammootty was supposed to play the lead, but didn't work.

JOHNNY ANTONY is another director who made a record in announcing projects

CHRISTIAN BROTHERS
Johnny Antonny announced this movie with Dileep in the lead.

SADDAM
Suresh gopi was supposed to play the lead in this movie.

BATMAN
Johnny Antony announced this movie again with Dileep in the lead.

ETTUM GUSTHIYUM
Mohanlal was in the lead , but this Johnny Antony film is also not in track so far.
These are some of the projects that I remember. Now, the thread is open to all for reminding yourself and posting those projects, which created hope, but did'nt work.
