Mammootty, again in sandalwood? IndiaGlitz [Saturday, January 31, 2009]
One of the latest industry grapewine suggests that Mammootty will don the lead character in the Kannada movie 'Shikari'. To be directed by Abhay Simha, an internationally acclaimed director for his previous film ''Gubbachigalu'' , Mammootty is said to be heavily impressed by the story lines of the movie.
The makers of the project including the producers N R Shetty are in the run to bring in Konkona sen sharma to do the female lead.It will be a matter to watch for, how will the actor find time amidst his hectic schedules, to be in this movie.
Meanwhile, another story that came up a couple of days ago is that Mammootty has already agreed to be in the lead role, in the movie to be directed by Oscar nominated sound director-Rasool Pookkutty. The film which will present the talented sound designer into movie direction, will be based on the famous novel ''Govaardhanante yaathrakal''.
No official confirmations has come out from the actor, regarding his participation in both these movies.
