Director Lijin Jose's new movie 'Law Point' is one step forward from his last outing 'Friday', but it takes its own precarious time to get in to some energy and action. By the time the twists arrive towards the end, the narrative has taken its own toll on the audience.
Start of the movie seems little bit interesting but soon the status-quo feel sets in. The long journey and the conversations seem pointless at that time. Namitha Pramod's performance is the saving grace during these parts and keeps you from giving up totally. Interval point is again so-so. Post interval, things seem to keep the same pace and move towards a barrage of twists one after the other. The first one is quite predictable and lame. It almost makes you take the movie as silly. Second twist is also predictable but executed well and the final one seems almost for the sake of it, to get a final one up on the audience. By the end, the whole feeling is clearly mixed. For some it may seem a pointless exercise.
Performances - Namitha is the show stealer. Kunchacko Boban is decent. Rest fill their parts ok.
Cinematography is decent but nothing to brag about. Editing could have been a lot better.
Overall, keep your expectations low and watch 'Law Point' if you wish to. It should not disappoint you real bad but there is nothing much to feel good as well.
