lemme add...
1. the orphan is being killed in place of anu mohan. one is a well built man with over 6 foot i guess. hw can u cmpare the physiche of those two bofies. thy had searchd 6 days fpr finding out a similiar physiche to tat of anumohan. all of a sudden orphan gets killed in his body is in no way similiar to anu mohan. no explanation to tat is given in the film.
2. atleast for namesake some police investigatn should havr shown. u can say that the insp is an assocuate of the don. bt even he and the don himself at anypoint questions the physiche mismatch. the doctor who did the postmartem also doesnt have any doubt in tis.
3. thy were planning to bribe the assistants of actual doctor under the pretension that postmartem will be done by assistants only. in the end postmartem is done by actual doctor itself and thy get a more convincing report. wot a stramge coincidence.
4. the don in no way doubts his carrier. esp when the cash was lost from the carriers best friend's shop. the carrier roams free even when the don is after anu mohan and his family. with so much connection and network don could not find out the carrier roaming and planning with anu mohan.
5. to me they ve crated the story from thr climax and has gone backward.
6. no explanation s shown to the condition of vinay forts house when pritvi cmes to see him tio say that anu mohan is dead..
too many loopboles i the plot i belueve. thy should hav cncntratd more..
Short Opinions on 'Mosayile Kuthirameenukal' and 'Gods Own Country'
=============================================
Mosayile Kuthira Meenukal - Ajith Pillai's directoral debut 'Mosayile Kuthirameenukal' shows a backdrop in terms of location which we have not seen much on malayalam screen. The geography, life, language of Lakshwadeep provides it the novelty and tinge of freshness. But the slow moving pace is a dampner. The first half is mostly dedicated to establishing Asif's character but by the second half we realize that probably its Sunny Wayne's story after all. Sunny Wayne looks wooden in most parts but Asif does decent work at emoting. Janani Iyer hams it up while Swathi Reddy is decent. Camera looks colorful and Abhinandan Ramanujam continues his 'Amen' type frames. Music is ok but nothing to remember for long. Ajith Pillai's direction looks average at best. Watch 'Mosayile Kuthirameenukal' with lots of patience and sometimes you may still feel a tad bored.
Rating - 2/5
Verdict - Tedious.
God's Own Country - Long in the making, Vassudev Sanal's 'Gods Own Country' has its moments but its again few and far in between. Much of the movie seems content that you have already seen in recent parallel narration or hyperlink thrillers like Passenger, Traffic, Chapters, Neram, Cycle and even Shutter. The disappointment is that there is no deliberate attempt to try and mask these similarities either in incidents or in casting. So one really feels the lack of freshness. Nevertheless, Fahad Fazil's track is good and adds some much needed newness. There are some heart touching moments here and there. Lena's boldness and her episode also looks noteworthy and then there is the finale, last scenes which are the best part of the movie. Technical departments look average. Direction seems patchy at best but lot of stuff is linked in to the proceedings which need to be appreciated. Sincerely hoping that more thrillers would come in the hyperlink pattern but with new content. All in all, watch 'Gods own country' if you may, keep your expectations low and be ready to watch quite a few repeated content.
Verdict - Average.
Rating - 2.5/5
