The Masakali beauty will play the role of a tennis champ in Anees Bazmee’s Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Thank You’. And sources say that her character will be more or less based on tennis sensation Sania Mirza!

To look professional in the film, the actress will fly off to Canada to get special training on the game.

Recently, the film added new members to its cast. While the film had finalized Akshay and Bobby Deol, the director signed on Irrfan Khan, Suniel Shetty and Celina Jaitly.

Kadapa, Apr 1 (PTI) Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar offered prayers at the Ameen Peer dargah here today.

Akshay Kumar arrived in a helicopter from the airport near Tirupati around 4 pm and spent about 45 minutes at the Ameen Peer dargah, locally known as Pedda dargah.

"Not many would get an opportunity to come here. I am the privileged one. I am happy to come here," the 42-year-old actor told reporters after paying obeisance.

Ameen Peer dargah was founded by Khwaja Peerullah Hussaini who was a lineage to Prophet Mohammed. Followers of the dargah believe that any wish that one makes at the shrine is always fulfilled.

Music maestro and Oscar award winner A R Rehaman is a frequent visitor to the shrine.

Akshay Kumar has a secret that only few know about. The actor has a huge collection of bollywood film posters that was only revealed recently while he was shooting for his film ACTION REPLAYY.

It so happened that a particular sequence in the film required old bollywood film posters and the makers of the film could not source the original quality posters for the said scene.

When matters became worse, it was the turn of Akshay Kumar to come to the rescue of the director. Akki suggested that the crew can use his film poster collection that he has so carefully built over the years. Vipul Shah, who is producing this film, was stunned to discover this fact about Akshay which nobody even had any idea of.

It turned out to that Akki loves to collect film posters and has a huge collection of them at home. Finally, the cast and the crew of ACTION REPLAYY had found a trouble-shooter amongst them.

Housefull, Deepika tells Lara.




Director Sajid Khan has been claiming that his forthcoming movie Housefull is going to be a big hit. For, he has stuffed it with stars like Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta and many others.

So with big stars, less clothes, sexy numbers and a lot of spice, the movie is set to see some of the Bollywood's hottest bods lock horns. In a way, it is going to be directly Deepika versus Lara. In Bollywood only the fittest and sexiest survives.

So far, it seems to be Housefull for Deepika as she is apparently outshining her contemporaries leaving Lara far behind. She is playing the lady number one in the film while Lara is said to be doing the second lead.

Akshay Kumar has a secret hobby.




Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has a secret hobby of collecting posters of old Bollywood movies and actors and his fans will get to see his collection in a scene in his forthcoming movie Action Replay.
"Akshay has been collecting these posters for years and has built himself a sizeable collection," said a source close to the actor.
In Action Replay, Akshay plays a coffee house owner and when the set was being planned, director Vipul Shah mentioned that he wanted it to be a Bollywood themed cafe.
While the crew searched for suitable posters in the market, they managed only a few cheesy ones. That's when Akshay came to their rescue.
"Yes, it’s true that I have lent some posters to Vipul because for the longest time, they couldn’t source original ones,” said Akshay.
Shah said: “We were not getting good posters and the problem kept cropping up in production meetings. We had absolutely no clue that Akshay had such a collection. It was a pleasant surprise.”
