Shahrukh Khan to work with Anurag Kashyap, courtesy Anushka Sharma!

According to the grapevine, Shahrukh Khan might star in Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming project. And while there have been rumours about SRK playing the lead role in Kashyap’s Alvin Kalicharan, it looks those are just rumours as we hear that the Gangs Of Wasseypur director has written another script for King Khan.

For those of you who don’t know, Alvin Kalicharan has been on a hold for almost a decade now. Reportedly, Kashyap had signed Anil Kapoor to play the lead role in the film, but ultimately the film was put on the back burner due to some issues with the budget. Last we heard that the talented filmmaker approached SRK to play Alvin Kalicharan, however according to an industry source, “Shahrukh and Anurag will soon work together on a film, but it is definitely not the Alvin Kalicharan project. It’s a fresh script altogether that Anurag has written. Both Anurag and King Khan are working on the script and fine-tuning it.”

And apparently it was Anushka Sharma who heard the script first after which she told the Bombay Velvet filmmaker that Mr Khan will be perfect for this role. “She has developed a great working equation with Kashyap since they started working on their film, Bombay Velvet. When she heard about his new script, she thought that Shahrukh was perfect to play the lead in the film. That’s why she organised a meeting between the two,” a source was quoted by a tabloid.
