    Manisha is Dhanush’s mother-in-law!
    By Moviebuzz | Wednesday, 20 January , 2010, 17:31

Manisha Koirala has been chosen to play the all-important role of Dhanush’s mother-in-law in Maapillai. The film is a remake of Rajinikanth’s 1989 film with the same title.
The film revolves around a clash between an arrogant mother-in-law who always tries to get one-up on her son-in-law. In the original, what worked was the clash between Rajini and Srividya who played his mother-in-law.
For this crucial role the makers of the 2010 Maapillai, director Suraj and Dhanush, had tried to rope in Sridevi, Tabu or Jayaprada but nothing worked.
It is going to be Manisha’s comeback in Tamil films after a very long time. Her last release was Baba with Rajinikanth in 2002.
She had debuted in Tamil with Mani Ratnam’s Bombay and had also done Shankar’s Indian with Kamal Hassan and Mudhalvan with Arjun.

Nayantara does it again for ‘Mappillai’

We seldom see Nayantara doing special dance numbers in others’ movie. Either ways we have seen her doing it for the first time for her friendship with Vijay in ‘Sivakasi’. Then she did it for our Superstar in ‘Sivaji’ and now she repeats it again after a long gap!

We can see the damsel dancing for Superstar’s mappillai Dhanush in his upcoming project ‘Mappillai’, a remake of Superstar’s hit titled the same!

This remake is directed by Suraaj and has Hanshika doing the female lead opposite Dhanush! Who can forget the awesome chemistry between Nayantara and Dhanush in ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’?

This Malabar beauty who celebrated her birthday in Hyderabad with her friends recently has signed-up a project opposite Junior NTR in Telugu. Nayantara has also signed ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ in Tamil opposite Arya for the first time. Meanwhile the Keralite storm has attacked the Sandalwood too and is rumoured to have got a fee of 60 lakhs.

    Default Dhanush in Bharathiraja direction

Bharathiraja and Balu Mahendra are every actors dream directors. They both ruled Tamil cinema for some time and they transformed many a stars into good actors. Dhanush is the only popular younger generation actor who has got the privilege of doing a film under Balu Mahendra. ‘Balu Mahendra’s ‘Adhu Oru Kana Kalam’ transformed Dhanush into an actor from being a star.
Now Dhanush has got the opportunity to hone his skill sets even further under Bharathiraja. Bharathiraja who invited Dhanush to his office recently pleasantly surprised him with an offer. Both behaved very professional during that short meeting. Bharathiraja told the story and Dhanush liked it and promptly agreed.
Our initial sources say the film will be produced by Mid Valley Entertainment and will start soon.

    Default ‘Uthamaputhiran’ Dhanush

Mithran Jawahar who started his successful career in Tamil with 'Yaradi Nee Mohini' has again opted for a remake as his third film. Mithran’s first two Tamil films were remakes of Telugu films. 'Yaradi Nee Mohini’ was a remake of the 2007 Telugu blockbuster ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule’ and ‘Kutty’
was the remake of the Telugu film ‘Arya’.

Mithran is going for a remake of another Telugu film ‘Ready’ this time and he is also repeating his lucky hero Dhanush for the third time in this film as well.
The film has been titled 'Uthamaputhiran' and Genelia who did the Telugu original plays the same role in Tamil also. ‘Uthamaputhiran’ will be a action-comedy-romance which will enhance itself in the hands of Dhanush.
