Russia international Yuri Zhirkov has completed a return to his homeland after swapping Chelsea for big-spending Anzhi Makhachkala.
"I am very glad to be here and I hope I will have the chance to make my debut on Anzhi's next game," Zhirkov told the club's official website after penning a four-year deal.
He was presented to the crowd before his new club's home victory over Tom Tomsk on Saturday, which left Anzhi fourth in the Russian Premier League after 18 games.

Daniel Sturridge's first-half double helped Chelsea to a comfortable 3-1 victory over Rangers in their friendly match at Ibrox.
Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic headed the Scottish champions into the lead after six minutes after being set up by Steven Naismith.
However, Sturridge - who spent the second half of last season on loan to Bolton - struck twice to give Chelsea an interval lead which they never looked like surrendering.
Substitute Florent Malouda, who had replaced Sturridge on the hour mark, headed in Chelsea's third in the 72nd minute to emphasise the gap in class between the two sides. The scoreline could have been worse for the home side had substitute goalkeeper Neil Alexander, on for Allan McGregor at the interval, not saved Frank Lampard's penalty two minutes later.

AVB: League is Chelsea's top priority

New Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that winning the Barclays Premier League is the top priority on his agenda.
For many seasons now, many believe that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is unconcerned with domestic titles, but is instead fully focused on claiming European glory.
This was evident at the end of last season when Abramovich fired then-manager Carlo Ancelotti, despite the Italian guiding Chelsea to the Barclays Premier League and FA Cup double the campaign before.
Since then, Villas-Boas has been installed at the helm of the club, with many suggesting his tenure at Stamford Bridge could be short-lived should he fail to bring the Champions League title to Chelsea.

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel's father is thought to have been abducted after he went missing in Nigeria since Friday. Mikel was informed on Saturday morning that his father had not returned home after work on Friday in the Nigerian city of Jos and had not been contactable by telephone, and he has not been seen since.
Mikel's manager, John Shittu, told Kick Off Nigeria: "At the moment we have not heard from Mikel's father, or anyone else, so we don't know what it is. At this point, we only consider him missing."
Mikel played the full 90 minutes for Chelsea in their 0-0 draw at Stoke on Sunday but Shittu added: "He is totally devastated. We were not sure whether to tell him before the game, but after speaking to the manager, and [Chelsea technical director] Mike Emenalo, we agreed that he had a right to be informed of such a serious incident. He was under a lot of stress, but he showed a lot of character and mental strength to play against Stoke."
Shittu added in a statement to the BBC: "It's been tough for the young man. The family in Jos reported him missing at the police station as expected but we're taking all necessary measures to find him. We've told him to be brave and to stay calm."
Mikel's representatives, Sport Entertainment and Media Group, have said it is an abduction. "SEM confirms that client John Obi Mikel's father was abducted in Nigeria on Friday, August 10," a statement read. "Thus far no ransom [demand] has been received. Mikel was informed by his manager prior to the Stoke v Chelsea match and decided to play so as not to let down his team and family."
Chelsea club statement read: "Everyone at Chelsea Football Club was very concerned to hear that John Mikel Obi's father has been reported as missing and possibly abducted. We will give Mikel and his family our full support at this most difficult time."
