"There was always the fear of coming here to play. It would have been crazy not to be in the World Cup. Luckily we could react and we managed to play well. We were calm, we achieved the goal and that is the most important thing. Thanks to God, we fulfilled the objective". - Messi
"Today luckily the nationality of the best player in the world is Argentine. Messi does not owe a World Cup to Argentina — football owes a World Cup to Messi. He is the best player in history." - Sampaoli

Mas unidos que nunca!!!
More United than Ever!!!
might be the reason argentines don't revere him as highly as maradona or tevez. these were local barrio guys possessing streaks of a rebel personality. whereas, spanish culture must have watered down the such in messi. the way he presents himself, the way he talks there is more of a european coiffured personality than a street thuggish one... hope yesterday's game makes them realise that at the height of spanish upbringing, messi refused spanish/european citizenship & preferred to play for argentina. neither did he run after model beauties around the globe instead chose one for long-term from his boyhood neighbourhood. the only rebel bone in that body runs right through his left leg, that's it.
as for the second guy, was a showboat, is still a showboat. nothing called integrity in that wiry frame of his.
