This is basically the story of Jaya(Darshana) an ordinary educated women who is forced to sacrifice her dreams just for the sake of our patriachal toxic society and how she is forced to adjust to her chauvanist husband Rajesh (Basil). We know that in a country like ours however progressive there are different rules for men and women.

We had many other films earlier one of them being Great Indian kitchen which has a similar theme but this is a very light hearted entertainer which leaves the audience in splits

How she fights it out is shown in a very humorous manner in the movie

Basil can be given the tag of New gen sreenivasan since this movie reminds you at times of Vadakkunokki yanthram and chinthavishtayaya syamala.

Darshana has lived the character of Jaya

Positive:- Actors, humour, making, and the climax twist

Negatives:- Some serious scenes which could have been avoided

Box office:- Minimum superhit . Needs to see whether it will be a blockbuster . Families will like it so long run expected. Excited that at last we have a diwali winner
