there is no problem with 60 hz TVs.120 hz will give you a better viewing experience while watching very fast fast moving actions, but that does not mean that 60 hz is bad

Pakshe 1080 p plasmakku LCD yekkal vila kaanille.. pricewise 720p plasma< 1080 p LCD < 1080 plasma <1080p LED .
quality wise(1080p) LCD<LED edge lit<Plasma<LED backlit..

LED edgle lit aayirikkum thinnest.. Plasma aanenkil Panasonic aanu best. avarude1080p kidilam aanu.. very thin too..

But the only +ve of an LED is that its pwr consumtion is lower due to the backlight... front panel lcd thanneyaanu... normal voewing-il yaatoru differenceum kaanilla... full led tv US-il aduthu etho expo-il undaarunnu ennu kettu..

panasonic mathre ippo kaarymaayittu puthiya models plasma irakunnullo... 1080p plasma is very thin and cant say its too pricy...

LG & samsung aanu price wise kooduthal flexibile.. sony has got the bradn name but i am not sure how much of benefits, it really offers..

anyways, LG & samsung are the only lcd panel makers, rt??? anyone else?? shrap is an excellent brand, but they do not have variety..

lg makes 42" and samsung amkes 40" panels..

I am also planning to buy one , Abu Dhabi Sports HD Channel ( for EPL ) & Al Jazeera Sports HD ( UCL , La Liga etc ) Card & HD Receiver undu...but TV old aanu...

Initially thought of buying SONY LCD 40" ( KDL-40CX520 ), but the saleman at the shop told me LG is good , the LCD panel for Sony TV is even made by LG ( don't know , somebody can clarify ) ...confusion aayi ..now almost decided to go for 42" LG LED (42LV3500 )...

The difference they told me about LCD/LED is the contrast ratio..

40" SONY LCD ( KDL-40CX520 ) : Price SR 2979/-
42" LG LED (42LV3500 ) : 3000000:1 : Price SR 3299/-
40" SONY LED (KDL-40EX523 ) : Price SR 3479/-

That's excellent price I think , here the model 42LK430 cost SR 2,699/- ...I couldn't find that much difference between 42LK450 & 42LK430 in specification.

I don't know more about contrast ratio , they told me LED is better because of better contrast ratio

i think the difference is in the sound box.. may be some difference in watts power and quality..

considerably thinner and hence cute too(led then plasma)
better viewing angle than LCD (plasma leads. Then led)
Better colour(after plasma)
fast motion viewing is same as LCD (plasma leads by a mile. Costlier LCD and led models with higher refresh rate -100hz in India 120in us can give better viewing)
TV life-led then LCD.

The panel is same but that doesn't mean that the features are same.

Samsung has better brand name after Sony.in fact here in us many similar models are costlier than Sony and many people give it better value than Sony.

There are many other brands .Sharp.Toshiba..Vizio a good American brand and of course Panasonic that make LCD/led tvs
