2.3 and 2.3 gingerbread ennu paranjal vyatyasam undo?
    enthanu ee gingerbreadinte vyatyasam?

    pls help...!!
    Answer to the first question:
there are many android phones available in the market..
    HTC launched Sensation,
    Motorola launched Defy+, Droid Razr,
Sony Ericsson launched many phones in the Xperia range,
    Samsung's galaxy smartphones etc..

Answer to the second and third question:
Google has codenamed Android 2.3 as Gingerbread. Earlier versions were codenamed Donut (v1.6), Eclair (v2.1), Froyo (v2.2). Then they launched Android 3.0, codenamed Honeycomb, exclusively for tablets..
The latest OS being offered by Google is Android 4.0, codenamed IceCream Sandwich (ICS)..
There is no major difference in v2.3 and 2.3.x.. Some minute changes in the OS so as to reduce the number of bugs.. it is similar to the update process of an anti virus in your PC..

And if you are planning to buy Android phones, please wait for a few months as the new OS will be shipped with variety of new phones..

Aakash has received about 3 lakh pre-launch bookings for its commercial version that goes on sale later next month.

Samsung India is also launching a third model of the Galaxy Tab next month.

Reliance Tab has become the third largest after Apple and Samsung tablets.

the android versions 2.3.x vary from one manufacturer to another..
The base is Android 2.3.. there are a few phones available in the market with Gingerbread as the operating system.. if you are planning to change your phone you can probably wait for a few more months..

BTW, please tell me how is your experience with x10 mini.

can only update that model to 2.1 version of android. thats the main problem.

battery charge drains quikly when phone is idle for a long time or net is active.

you can update your Android version using some unofficial way.. but this may void your warranty and if, by chance, the phone gets some problem, the service centre people may not solve..
