Siddharth to remake Nidra in Malayalam






Director Rajeev Kumar is busy with the remake of Bharathan's classic Rathinirvedam.
Incidentally Bharathan's son Siddharth is planning to remake another classic from his father's library.

It seems that Siddharth, who debuted as hero in Kamal's Nammal has put his dreams of being a successful actor on the backburner and remaking Nidra.
Siddarth has been working as an AD to Priyadarsan and now he is in search for a hero in his film. Rima Kallingal has been confirmed as the female lead, a role done by Santhi Krishna in the original.
Earlier, Siddharth had planned to remake Bhargavi Nilayam, but the project didn't happened.

But this time around, he is confident that Nidra will establish him a successful director.

‘Nidhra’ turns 'Suhruthu'


Late director Bharathan's son Siddharth will shortly remake his father's big classic success 'Nidhra'. The movie produced under the banner of Kuttamath films, will be remade with the title 'Suhruthu'.
The movie will feature Reema Kallingal and debutante Manu in the lead roles that was played by Vijay Menon and Shanthikrishna in the original. Bharathan's wife and Siddharth's mother K P A C Lalitha will play the same role that she had played in the original.
The shoot of the movie that is expected to start on January 5 at Aranmula, will be cinematographed by Venugopal. Scripted by Vinu Kiriyath and Sidharth, the movie will be presented in a different narrative style from the original.
