Day 1: No Medal for Kerala
In the National Games, Kerala did not bad any medal on its first day. Earlier reports said that Kerala got one Bronze medal in 4 *100 metres relay. But the organizers later made it clear that it was a technical error and that Kerala finished only as fourth.
Kerala participated in six categories today. In men and women volleyball, Kerala won and moved to the next step. Men's team defeated Punjab and the women's team defeated Jharkhand team in the volley. In men's water polo, Keral defeated Manipur.
