Why are many Malayalam films not releasing simultaneously in UAE now? Earlier they used to release. Now two films had a delayed release in UAE- Pappan and Na thaan case kodu

Any specific reason

Might be due to lack of screens....and they will get some time to go and promote the film there as well...

Promotions can be done earlier. Also how will late release work for the film? Athum ee kalathu when there is heavy piracy....

Athu cheyyunilallo...big promo events okke releaseinte 2-3 days before mathrame cheyyu... Piracy effect okke illalo ippo...theatre print enthayalum aalkaar kaanunilla ippo...either they go to theatres or wait and watch it in ott...

Delay in release will give them time to promote and chart the film in better screens...plus competition will be minimal if no film is releasing or low hype films are releasing...can collect better in this situation

I hope this does not continue for big films at least.... Luckily Thallumala has a simultaneous release...

Small films angane cheyyatte like NTCK but big films simultaneous release venam. Ennane kooduthal rights kittu.

Pappan rights are just 1.5 cr

Athu cheyyunilallo...big promo events okke releaseinte 2-3 days before mathrame cheyyu... Piracy effect okke illalo ippo...theatre print enthayalum aalkaar kaanunilla ippo...either they go to theatres or wait and watch it in ott...

Baaki ullidathu valiya difference undakkilla. GCC UAE simultaneous release vannallo. GCC UAE is our prime overseas market.

But in case of BP one point is that if there was a bigger release as you said in Aus, USA then it would have collected 100 cr in theatricals itself... Now it has collected only close to 90 cr. Now it is in 100 cr club only via rights
