Vishwanathan is a taxi-driver in Mumbai. He is a former thug who wants to leave his former life of having contacts with the underworld and the flesh trade. One night, while he is spending time with his friend Johnny, a passenger forcefully enters his taxi...this passenger dies leaving Vishwan with a bag. Vishwan's life changes after he opens the bag.

The above is 'Kanmadham'. There is a similarity between 'Kanmadham' and 'Pickpocket' such that both has a wrong-doing hero who gets a coincidental change in life which alters him.

Kanmadham was a classic. I always felt Lalettan was the most obese in this movie (especially the song, 'Manjakilliyude') but his performance was excellent. Added to that was Manju Warrier's Bhanu, one of her career-best characters. Lal was also apt for the role. Of course the movie had Lohithadas and Blessy behind the camera.

This movie will be a lighter entertainer for sure. Hope it clicks.
