Since the referee whistled for a penalty until Cristiano took it, 4 minutes & 35 seconds passed. Juve players starting from Khedira, Mandzukic, Chiellini, Pjanic, Lichsteiner and Szczesny tried to deteriorate the penalty spot and rattle Cristiano. Ronaldo was 100% focused. [as]

Ramos: "Our whole season is on the line. Another opportunity to play a Final & again defend our title. We always draw the toughest teams, but it’s better to play them now than in a Final. Bayern are a great team & we know each other fairly well. It'd be great to make history."

Modric: "At Real Madrid you have to perform to a high level in every match because if not then it's difficult to stay there. We were the first team to defend this title and that was something really amazing. We have beaten teams who were favorites. We feel good."

Florentino: "I know it's very difficult, as we're against a very good team, Bayern. They're a European giant, but we will try and the players will give their soul. We have a coach who is magnificent & I am sure that they will do everything humanly possible to earn another #UCL."

El Confidencial: To improve Cristiano's impact especially in & around the box during key moments, Zidane has told him not sprint 30-40 meters behind the ball or more than necessary so as to remain as fresh as he can for the full 90mins by recovering quicker on the pitch.
El Confidencial: Zidane doesn't want Cristiano to burn himself out by chasing the ball. Instead he's instructed younger players with more 'gasoline' to burn like ASENSIO & Lucas to recover the ball. Even Isco, who initially had a hard time physically, has been pressing more.
El Confidencial: Zidane wants Cristiano to cut his sprint to 10-12 meters behind the ball at most to get the best out of his physical qualities, maintaining high intensity & so that fatigue doesn't affect Ronaldo's skill at key moments i.e. the firm poise in Turin for THAT goal.
El Confidencial: Zidane made a new plan for Cristiano before the tie vs PSG. High intensity aerobic workouts on alternate days to increase explosiveness strength. This requires more rest on off-days. Hence Zidane also rotated Cristiano more during league games.
El Confidencial: CR7's extra cardio workout sessions are on a treadmill running between 12-14 km/h on long gears. The benefits of this have an impact on your ability to recover from one effort to another in matches faster. Followed by horizontal/vertical high intensity aerobics.

MARCA: Real Madrid's other players need to rediscover their scoring touch. It's only Cristiano who has been keeping the team on track otherwise against Atletico, Juve, Malaga and Athletic, one win, two draws and a defeat after 93 shots.
