Remake of 1974 classic Chattakkari directed by K.S Sethumadhavan based on Pamman's novel of the same name starring Laxmi, Mohan, Adoor Bhasi and Sukamari.

The vintage movie then bagged many reputed awards including Kerala State Film Awards for Best Film, Best Actor and also Filmfare Award For Best Feature Film In Malayalam

37 years after the history, Producer Suresh Kumar, who has already successfully remade yesteryear classics Neelathamara and Rathinirvedam to Super Hits, is all set to lighten his purse (hopefully then to thick ) to give us back our good old heart throbbing Chattakkari in a novel form. Santhos Sethumadhavan, so of K.S Sethumadhavan will be in charge of the movie's direction.

Hot young sensation Shamna kasim will portray Julie, the role with which Laxmi had mesmerized Malayali Youth once. Hemanth, play the role of Sasi, Julie's heart-throb.
