23/5/2012: Crewe manager Steve Davis has had his say on the weekend story in the Mail claiming Nick Powell had signed for United in a £4million deal. "At the moment it's just speculation," he told skysports.com. "Nothing's solid and I'm sure nothing will be happening until Sunday's [play-off final is] out of the way. Maybe next week we'll know a little bit more, but at the moment it's all paper talk. There's been no solid offer from anybody."

Reading's Ian Harte has signed a new one-year deal with the Royals, meaning the defender will be available for their return tothe Barclays Premier League.
Brian McDermott has moved to secure the services of the 34-year-old, who made morethan 200 Premier League appearances for Leeds United between 1995 and 2004, and also played in the top flight for Sunderland in 2008.
Harte moved to the Madejski Stadium from Carlisle United in August 2010, scoring 11 goals in his first season. "It's a dream come true to go back to the Premier League"
    - Ian Harte
He made 34 appearances during Reading's march to the Championship title in 2011/12 and has now committed to the club until the summer of 2013.
"It's a dream come true to go back to the Premier League," Harte told Reading's official website.
"Two years ago the manager took a chance on me and gave me the opportunity to come to a fantastic club like Reading. And I've had two of the best years of my career here.
"I'm absolutely delighted. Now that it's all sorted, I can go away and enjoy the summer, thoroughly look forward to next season and come back raring to go."
Royals boss McDermott added: "It's a fantastic story, if you consider that two years ago Ian had been written off in certain quarters, and yet now he is a Premier League player again.
"That tells you everything you need to knowabout the person, the player, his resilience, his character, his determination and his quality.
"He still has that burning desire in training every day to play at the highest level. So I'mdelighted that Ian has signed a new contract."
