Barcelona want to offload out-of-favour trio by this week |

Barcelona are keen on finalise the exits of their out-of-favour stars before the start of the season this coming Saturday. Getting rid of the players not in Xavi’s plans can come in handy, to a certain extent, with player registration as it would free up space on the wage bill.
Barça have managed to offload several unwanted stars like Clement Lenglet, Neto, Oscar Mingueza and Riqui Puig since the start of the transfer window. And they are now looking to move on
Samuel Umtiti, Martin Braithwaite and Memphis Depay by the end of the week, reports Mundo Deportivo.
Umtiti has been out of favour at Camp Nou for a long while now, but injuries and his high wages have meant that the Blaugrana have been unable to get rid of him. But, that could change this summer as the player realises that he needs to move on to resurrect his career and has reduced his wages in January.
Umtiti was not even present at Camp Nou on Sunday evening for the team presentation at Camp Nou prior to the Joan Gamper Trophy final against Pumas. A move to French club Rennes fell through, but the centre-back is attracting interest from Turkey and Greece.
As for Braithwaite, the Danish forward is open to leaving, but will only consider doing so if Barcelona pay him his salary for the remainder of his contract duration and release him as a free agent. He is believed to be attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, while clubs in La Liga are also keen.

Depay, too, has accepted the fact that he might have to leave just a year after joining Barça as a free agent. The Dutchman has been stripped of the No. 9 jersey, which has been handed to Robert Lewandowski, with the club informing the 28-year-old to find a new club.
Depay’s lawyers held a meeting with club officials last week to negotiate an exit and it has been claimed that the Netherlands star would consider leaving only as a free agent despite having a year left on his contract.
There is no shortage of interest in him, with Juventus, Everton, and Tottenham Hotspur among the forward’s suitors. What remains to be seen is whether Barcelona are willing to let him depart as a free agent by terminating his contract.

Timo Werner: RB Leipzig re-sign striker from Chelsea on four-year deal

Timo Werner returns to RB Leipzig two years after he left to join Chelsea; the 26-year-old has been unable to replicate the goal-scoring form which prompted the Blues to activate his £45m release clause in June 2020; Werner wanted to return to his old club to get regular game time.

RB Leipzig have re-signed striker Timo Werner from Chelsea for £25.3m (€30m) plus bonuses on a four-year deal.
The 26-year-old returns to the Bundesliga side having left two years ago to join Chelsea after the Blues activated his £45m release clause.

Werner has re-joined RB Leipzig, where he scored 95 goals in 159 games in all competitions, on a contract until 2026 and will wear the No 11 shirt.
He was initially set to return to the club on a season-long loan with an option to buy, but talks between the two clubs moved quickly, and an agreement was reached for the permanent transfer of the Germany international.
Werner wanted to return to his old club and get regular game time to secure a starting spot in Hansi Flick's Germany squad at the World Cup in November.
His relationship with Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was also said to be an issue, although Tuchel was understood to be unwilling to let the forward leave.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has completed a permanent transfer from Barcelona to Chelsea.

The experienced forward joins the Blues on a two-year contract and becomes the sixth senior signing of the summer window to bolster our men’s squad following a seven-month stay at Camp Nou. He scored 13 goals in 23 appearances for Barca last term, helping them rise from sixth in La Liga when he joined in February to finish as runners-up.

On becoming a Chelsea player, Aubameyang said: ‘I’m really happy. It’s an honour to be part of this team and I can’t wait to start. I have some unfinished business with the Premier League so it’s good to be back and really exciting.’
