    JUVENTUS FOOTBALL CLUB

Founded in 1897 as Sport Club Juventus by a group of young Torinese students, among them, who was their first president, Eugenio Canfari, and his brother Enrico, author of the company's historical memory; they are managed by the industrial Agnelli family since 1923, which constitutes the oldest sporting partnership in Italy, thus becoming Juventus the first professional club in the country. Over time, the club has become a symbol of the nation's culture and italianità (Italianity), due to their tradition of success, some of which have had a significant impact in Italian society, especially in the 1930s and the first postwar decade; and the ideological politics and socio-economic origin of the club's sympathisers. This is reflected, among others, in the club's contribution to the national team, uninterrupted since the second half of 1920s and recognised as one of the most influential in international football, having performed a decisive role in the World Cup triumphs of 1934, 1982 and 2006. The club's fan base is larger than any other Italian football club and is one of the largest world-wide, be widespread throughout the country and abroad, mainly in countries with a significant presence of Italian immigrants.

Juventus are historically the most successful club in Italian football and one of the most laureated and important globally. They have won overall fifty-one official titles at the national and international stage, more than any other Italian club: a record twenty-nine league titles, a record nine Italian cups and four national super cups and, with eleven titles in confederation and inter-confederation competitions (two Intercontinental Cups, two European Champion Clubs' Cup/UEFA Champions Leagues, one European Cup Winners' Cup, a record three UEFA Cups, one UEFA Intertoto Cup and two UEFA Super Cups), the club currently ranks fourth in Europe and seventh in the world with the most trophies won.

btw ADP was not a success in the national team.In fact, after Baggio, all Italian stars were a failure in the national team, ADP, Totti , Luca Toni are example.

Serie A ini angottu follow cheythalo???

ADP was not a success? He was injured in 1998 WC. He single handedly lead their qualification campaign successfully. In Euro 2000, he and Zidane were the best players of the tournament. But he is being remembered only for those 2 misses and it was not like what Gomez missed in Euro 2008.

In 2006 WC campaign, he changed the game vs Germany. A match regarded as the greatest ever football match in WCs by pundits. The match was even and when he came ON, he changed the course of the game into Italy's favour. It was from his corner that Grosso scored and I don't need to lecture on his superb goal after a few minutes then. In the final, he scored a crucial penalty. Without ADP, Italy would never have passed the group stages in WC 2002.

He played 91 times for Italy scoring 27 goals. Alessandro is NOT a centre forward, he is a supporting striker/trequartista. He captained Italy in Euro 2008 and was the best player in the games against Romania and Spain.

These are just his performances in major tournaments. He was immense for Italy in many qualifiers.

Infact, it's really weird for me to defend the man in terms of his performances for Italy. As a matter of fact, Alessandro Del Piero has got the record of playing in maximum number of major tournaments for Italy
Totti also was NOT a failure for Italy. He was their best player in WC 2002. Though his performances in WC 2006 are over rated, he was still crucial for the Azzurri and he did all those after a serious injury. He wasn't even supposed to be in the team because of that injury.

LOL , LUCA TONI is an ITALIAN STAR? ROFLMAO.

IMO, he is one of the worst strikers ever to play for Italy. No one considers him as a star.

29 vs 18 is no match.

Most number of WC Winners and Ballon d'Or Winners are from Juventus. Not just in Europe, but in the whole world.

Juventus is THE core club that supplies everything to Italian National Football Team. Azzurri is so dependent on Juve. The tradition of Juventus to play maximum number of Italians possible is still being followed. Even nowadays, atleast 7 players who start a game for Juve are Italians. So much that there is even a separate wikipedia page for Juventus's link with Azzurri.

66% of the football fans in Italy are found to be supporting Juventus. 2nd comes Inter and Milan are actually only 3rd. Milan,Inter,Roma and Lazio fans are mostly from their own hometowns, whilst it is very characterestic of Juve that their fanbase is diffused throughout Italy, especially Southern Italy.
