Fisherman's Review of Varshangalkk Sesham - Epic battle of Acting

Let us start with a precursor that I am not at all a fan of Vineeth Sreenivasan movie. I do not like those movies with a load of cliche scenes and too much Painkili stuff. Even though Film Makers have grown past all these and convey the same situations and scenarios in much better way, VS is still stuck in the old cliche methods. Still his movies in some scenes does evoke some nostalgia with viewers which works with lot of viewers. Also his movies are always backed with good star cast which caters to a good section of audience.


Coming to the movie - It is a movie of two friends, whose friendship is built around art, drama, movies etc. One is a writer and other is a musician. So basically two friends whose interests is in creativity around their on specialized areas. Movie is told in a flash back mode with VS's usual style of evoking nostalgia among viewers. The story is a story we have seen umpteen times of two friends trying to make it big in film field, one becoming successfull, other not and the complexes that build between them due to the same. Story being age old is fine, but if the making also becomes age old, what do you think will happen. Viewers will start yawning in cinema halls. All these episodes are so cringe, local dramas are much better I think. Oh! Man the script, the direction, the make up all are so amateurish, this movie takes Malayalam movies back 10 to 20 years. Horrible man.


Coming to the title line acting. It is an Epic Battle of Acting between Pranav and Dhyan to prove to viewers who among them is the worst. Such horrible performance man. Only Nivin Pauly is the saving grace of the movie. The scenes which Nivin is their invokes some laughters in the movie.

2nd HalF Enikum same opinion anu...neeraj chodikkuna pole ithendha kilavanmarude samsathana sammelanamo ennu parayunna pole dhyan and pranav onnum ottum convincing alla avade.. But First half enikishttapettu...kure 70s templates well set ayanu thonniyathu.. nostalgia really worked well...baburajinte paatum Nadakavum 70s madrasum..pine pranav dhyan conflict varunnath..indhradhanush portion okea oru ishttapettu...Pranav dhyaninte veetil pokunnath...Dhyan vannu Njan late ayalle ennu chodikkuna portjon okea really good

Same thoughts... Dhyan and Pranav thammil oru chemistry um thoniyila..athukond thanne emotions onnum connect aayilla.. Pranav Lalettanu vendi padikunna pole thoni.. Pine, "mohanlal best actor, Mammootty youth icon" polethe skit level comedies oke nirthaaraayille..ethrayoo vattom kettu thazhambicha comedies aanu ithu..athupole thanne old mohanlal-sreeni movies dialogue references..aa dialogue nu vendi situation undaaki eduthathu pole und.. chavaru padam !!
