Sathyam.. njaan ottum pratheekshichilla.. but athu sambavichirikkunnu.. 60 ilum voicile sharpness... dialogue deliveriyile maasmarikatha... the one and only extra bone man in malayalam cinema is amazing you with his roaring dialogue delivery skills..
So.. what about the rest? I doubted Ranji's caliber to write the fire brand dialogues in these days.. But.. my assumptions were wrong.. he has still the fire in him.. but as a script writer.. Ranji is losing his grip. Innovative aayi onnum chaithilla ennu maathramalla.. athinulla oru shramam polum undayilla ennathu dourbhagyakaram thanne.. Nayakan... villain.. from the first frame itself.. pinne.. pathivu routine.. ore vazhi.. oru deviation polumedukkathe.. it would be boring while repeating the same stuff! Pinne ezhuthumpol oru padathinte lengingthinu pakaram randu padathinte length ezhuthi vetti churukknna erppad.. that had taken away the intensity of the movie.
Shaji.. thante kaaranam kondu oru padavum kulamaakkilla..though he is not ready to change his style.. he is quite ok with his cuts and shots... but.. multiple frames of heroes in the screen okke outdated aanu.. kurachu borum..
the major drawback of the movie is its length.. a better editing would have made more crispier.. casting wise.. Sai kumar was a miscast.. his scenes were not making any impacts in audience. Narendra prasadinte masmarikathayude ezhayalathu ethaan polum Sai kumarinte bavayude rolinaayilla.. at times it was boring too! Pakistan base aayathu kondu balance cheyyanundakkiya swami role aayi poyi.. while Jayakarishnan and Mohanthomas was uttering lengthy dilogues.. they were having enough background do so.. but here... audince couldnt relate the charater with their real life.. ambe paali poyi. (need a drastic theaterical editing in these portions)
Sureshgopi.. he is still good in ruthless dialogues.. Liked the combination between Alex and Bharath.. were having good rapport! But.. makers shouldnt have brought both in the same screen bcz.. script writer forced to write balancing dialogues... athu flow nashippikkunnundayirunnu... kidilan interval punch polum nashttappeduthi athu...
Pinne.. Keralam vittu delhiyilekku kerenda oru karyavumillayirunnu... kadhapathrangale janangalkk identify cheyyanavathe poyi ithu kondu thanne.. keralathil thanne mathiyaayirunnu.. local politiciane keri angu kottiyirunnel sharikkum ettene.. the time was apt.. a missed opportunity..
In sum.. what you expect from Shaji + Ranji Combo? All are there except a good thread. Though it is not a great entertainer... surely you can make a try.... (with a trimmed version.. would be more interesting)
