Watched second outing of premlal-sreeni combo at Kollam Grand along with almost 10 people in the balcony..in the time of meaningless and hollow films sugarcoatedly called as entertainers,it was not amusing..
The film revolves around the common man named sivankutty played by sreeni...a maniac outsider played by Pasupathi coming into his life..another outsider played by indrajith comes to the lives of both..even though there is hardly any suspense element in the film,it keeps it tempo most of the time as a thriller..but one need more than little bit of patience for reaching the hard hitting climax, where the violent outburst by sreeni is a gem of a scene..pasupathi did the mannersims of a man with a diseased mind by mixing wild facial expressions with a little bit of tamil splash...indrajith did his part well..
the bgm and music by a newcomer was gud..also the scenes of windmills revolving and clothes swaying in the air..it has the signature of a good directorial mind...the voice modulation of sreeni in the commentary was superb.
All in all a solid movie with some predictability and without any earth shattering suspense...an emotional thriller...
Mammootty can be likened to the purest breed of Red Oak trees- he shall still stand upright, rooted in deep and exposing his ornamental bark in all its glory and charisma.
