Default Masters -Basic Story line is inspired from old Hitchcock Movies - Review

    Saw Masters yesterday..
This is my first movie review in FK. Mistakes may be excused.

    Theatre : Alleppey Seethas
    Show time - 9:30 PM
    Status : Balcony - Full
    First Class - 80%

    Plot :
Film starts with a murder and Prithvi is assigned to do the investigation. Sasikumar plays a journalist who is also the best friend of Prithvi.
A series of murders follows which is driven by a strange pattern or cycle.

    The Catch :
Many of the reviews gave accolades to the script writer for a nice screen play. The debutant Jinu has done a good job. I agree.
But the basic story element of the film is lifted from Alfred Hitchcock's movies like Strangers on a Train and Dial M for murder( 1950s) .
Jinu has adapted the idea and brought in new elements and he has succeded to some extent.

But the script has its own flaws as well. The execution by the director was even poorer. Johny Antony failed to keep the raciness in the script and failed miserably in the pre climax portions.

    Performance:
    Prithvi did a decent job.
Sasikumar didn't create any impression on viewers. He played the role very subtly and the character demanded little more intensity. A forgetful entry into malayalam.
Pia Bajpayee and Salim Kumar were brilliant.
Biju Menon and Siddique also palyed their part well.

    Theatre Response
Howling at the end . Prithvi's introduction also received good howl and huge claps for Sasikumar and Biju Menon introductions. Biju Menon is having a good time for sure now

    Trade Verdict :
Flop. At best an Average Affair

On the whole MASTERS is strictly an average movie that could have been much better if the makers had spend some mor brains on it.

    Rating :
    2/5

I don't have enough posts to put this review as a separate thread. Mods please do the needfull

The man is simply amazing! He may not have that perfect body but he is what we trainers term
    ‘functionally fit'.
