Chris Gayle - Allrounder
Born - 21 September 1979
Chris Gayle is perhaps the coolest guy in the world, not just in West Indies, not just in cricket. The tall Jamaican is a picture of Zen calm when he's in the middle, except for the 2 seconds of fury when Gayle's hitting the leather right off a ball.
Chris Gayle was signed as a replacement for an injured player some way through IPL4 and announced his arrival with a ton against KKR. Following it up with a phenomenal season with both bat and ball, Gayle even scored a second ton and took the team to the finals of IPL4.
His game is the same across formats and Gayle stands beside batsmen of the calibre of Sir Don Bradman, Brian Lara and Virender Sehwag as a scorer of two triple hundreds in test cricket.
RCB Highlights
RCB vs. KKR, Kolkata, 2011
Chris Gayle went unsigned at the IPL auction in 2011 but got his chance when RCB signed him as a replacement for Dirk Nannes. Gayle scored a century against his former team fresh off the plane from the Caribbean and turned around the fortunes of the team in the season.
RCB vs. KXIP, Bangalore, 2011
An all round performance from Chris Gayle as he scored his second century of the 2011 IPL against a shell shocked KXIP before picking up 3 wickets with his off-spin. The home fans were delirious to say the least.

Virat Kohli - Batsman
Born - 5th November 1988
About
Virat Kohli burst into the limelight as India's 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup winning captain in Malaysia. Kohli was picked up by RCB as their first draft choice before the first season of the IPL and was the only player retained by the team in 2011.
Kohli is also the team's most capped player with 70 appearances and leads the overall run tally for them with 1467 runs.
His ODI debut came in 2008 and Virat Kohli locked his spot in the Indian team despite intense competition with assured performances against opposition such as SL, NZ, Aus and SA. The stylish right hand batsman is currently the fastest Indian batsman to reach 1000 runs in ODIs and is far ahead of his teammates in terms of averages when it comes to successful ODI chases.
An electric fielder, Virat Kohli usually mans the point area and is also a canny medium pacer. His captaincy chops too are evident having ably led Delhi in the Ranji Trophy and Royal Challengers Bangalore for a few matches in IPL4 in addition to his U-19 World Cup victory.
RCB Highlights
RCB vs. DD, Feroze Shah Kotla, 2011
In a roller coaster chase, Virat Kohli's gritty half century helped the team get over the line at the very end. Walking in to the middle in the very first over despite being the no.3 batsman, he played an enterprising knock and stuck around long enough to set up their win.
RCB vs. CSK, Wankhede Stadium, 2011
Virat Kohli stepped in following a rare Gayle failure and set about building a more than solid total, one they would have thought impossible without Gayle firing. He produced a stunning 70* off 44 with beautiful classical shots as RCB made 175/4.
