About the movie :I liked it very much. A decent investigation thriller of new age malayalam cinema.


Not repeating the story as you all know about it.


Performances:

The one and only Mohanlal steals the show. He was excellent. Its very good to see him in a matured role which is suitable for his age. The fight scenes are also very nice, no superhuman acts. This is the kind of role we would like to see from Lalettan and Mammookka now, no more logicless masala flicks pls.(I hope Mammootty also will learn from this while choosing new movies.)

Priyamani was just ok. There was nothing for a special mention.
All other actors did their part well.
Director used Babu Antony in a very safe way . He was ok with the given space. He didnt spoil the role as the role didnt demand many facial expressions.

Script:

There were minor flaws and some lags in the script which I feel are ignorable. Unnikrishnan has made it a decent script though he couldnt make it anyway near to an intelligent investigation script like CBI Diarykurippu. At times the script fails to convince a brilliance in the investigation. But overall I would call it as a good script and the best of Unnikrishan till date.
The twist and suspense were very good. But the final scene was very much predictable.

Direction:

Good to see that Unnikrishnan has learned from his mistakes. He has done a good job.But I felt that the role of script writer was above the director.
Although the director is trying to refuse the conventional way of story telling, he fails to keep that consistancy in some scenes. One of the few examples: the boxes falling in the fight scenes, we have been seeing such scenes repeatedly since 70's.

Other Technical Aspects:

Cinematography - Just average. A better cinematoghapher could have made it even more stylish.
Music- BGM was very good. But the songs were not upto the mark
Costumes: Excellent
Art: Very Good

One major negative that I felt was Roma's item dance. Koothara aayippoyi. Pakka miscasting. Expressions okke maha bore.
