Watched "Da Thadiya" NS from Trivandrum Sree
After the successful and critically acclaimed movie 22 Female Kottayam, Aasiq Abu comes up with "Da Thadiya" with no major stars in the lead roles. Movie tells the story of Looka John Prakash, a fat guy and his family and also his relationship with childhood girl friend.He adds the flavor of social criticism as well.Felt the script as average,dragging in the first half. Characterization is not up to mark.At some point of time, even script writers seems to be confused as how to proceed further. Aasiq's direction is up to mark and only because of that, movie felt as 'watchable'.Songs are also good to watch.The main drawback is the acting and voice modulation of the hero (Shekhar Menon). Nivin did a good job.One new face, I think his name is Sreekanth also scored. Ann Augastin is also OK.In total, an average script and good direction. Not filled with much entertainment elements.Mouth publicity is bad I guess
