KARMAYODHA - My Review..!!

Story :

Madhava Menon a.k.a Maddy (Mohanlal) is an encounter specialist, settled in Mumbai.
He is on a mission to trace the people behind trafficking of young girls.
Not going in deep as there will be spoilers..

Padam announce cheythappol thanne oru pratheekshayum illayirunnu.
After hearing some negative reports here, I had very low expectations.

But, the movie was above average to watchable. Its not a pakka action movie.
Expected more herosim from Lalettan, but was disappointed.
Theme was very good, but execution was not good.. Script and direction played the spoilsport..

Still, I found it above average to watchable.. BGM was excellent. Song was below average. Certain dialogues were really boring. Like "I kill people.."
and Maddy questioning "where where..Kerala Kerala.. container??" etc..

1st half was average. Interval twist was superb. Second half was good.
Climax was also good.

Performances :

Lalettan was good. Nothing extra ordinary. Tailor made role for him.
Did it well.. .
Villian was very good.. Thenkasi Selvam was also good.
All the other supporting casts were a big let down.

Positives :

Lalettan & his Intro scene.
Villian & Thenkasi Selvam.
Very good theme.
Excellent BGM.
Interval twist & good 2nd half.
Climax..
Good Editing - The movie is well trimmed and wrapped up in 2 hours,
which makes it watchable..

Negatives :

Starting scenes.
Supporting casts.
Songs.
Needed better Script & Direction.

Claps & Koovals :

Super response for Lalettan's intro. Claps for few dialogues.
But, pratheekshicha oru olam illayirunnu.. Some claps and whistles after the movie.. , but its expected for a fans show..
Moshamillatha response ondu.. Fans ayirunnu full.. No koovals..

Something more :

Its a watchable movie. Bore adikkathe kandirikkam.. Way better than
Kandahar and Kurukshethra.. But, not satisfied.. A good theme should
have been executed in a better way..
Its a thick family drama which leaves a message to the society in the end.

My Verdict : Watchable. [Above Average]

Box Office :
Oru pakka action movie pratheekshichu poyal nirashapedum. Oru family back ground and sentimence aanu subject. Fans'inu ethra mathram ishtapedum ennu ariyilla..
Families and ladies will like it. But, ee poster and action scenes okke kaanumbol avar kayarilla.. Athanu oru big negative.

Chances are less for a hit.
