McMAFIA. 8 episodes. Godmans were Russian gangsters who now live a secluded life in London as political asylum seekers. Vadim is the biggest Russian mafia don out there. He started his rise by dethroning the Godmans and has help from the Russian government. The present patriarch Dimitri Godman just wants to clear things with Kremlin and get back to his home country. His younger brother Boris Godman on the other hand is a bit of a hothead and wants to somehow get rid of Vadim. Dimitri has a wife, a daughter and a son, Alexander 'Alex' Godman who stays away from the crime of his family, has a British fiancee and loves his life as a banker. When Boris' attempt at killing Vadim backfires and Alex has to watch his uncle killed in front of him, he is pulled into the a world where corporates turn criminal and criminals turn corporate. Lavishly shot, slowly searing up the tempo, the series is worth a watch for the characters. Anyone having seen the '72 Godfather will have a pretty good idea how things are going to turn out and it does too the same way, yet there is something attractive. For James Norton, this role might well be his audition for the next James Bond.

    ATLANTA Season 2 is coming!
Is anyone hasn't seen season 1, drop whatever you are doing right now and see it. It is the most original series I've seen.
The genre is Comedy, but it's a lot more. The story, characters, direction everything is top notch. Its very different from all the other comedy series out there.
    Very highly recommended!

Alla.. very very realistic. The mood is very different from all the other comedy series.
Donald Grover's writing is unbelievable. The direction by Hiro Murai is excellent. Both are talents to look out for.

    Master of None
good fun though the romantic portions, especially in S2, veer to cliches.
anzari has great comic flair; the immigrant stories are handled with an understated sensitivity.
wished they did better with ethnic details on the Indian bits. some major awkwardness there (a Tamil Muslim from Tirunelveli named Dev Shah and his parents, Ramesh and Nisha!).
    still, very entertaining.
    Be kind, rewind.

    TRUE DETECTIVE S03.

Reports cicculating online suggest that filming is due to start in the state of Arkansas this month, which means we could be looking at a 2019 release.Oscar winner Mahershala Ali has been confirmed as one of the leading stars of True Detective season three. The actor won an Academy Award last year for his performance in the critically acclaimed film, Moonlight and he has also recently starred in Netflix’s Luke Cage and House of Cards. Ali is set to play Detective Wayne Hays - a state police officer from Northwest Arkansas. Following a similar pattern to season one’s buddy-cop format, where Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson played partners investigating a murder, Stephen Dorff has been cast to play the role of Arkansas State Investigator Roland West. Dorff is known for his roles in films like Blade, Somewhere and the Power of One. He has also recently starred in the Fox musical drama, Star. The most recent addition to the all-star line up is Scoot McNairy. Scoot, who recently starred in the Netflix production Godless, joins the ensemble, playing a father who suffered a great loss. The American actor is also known for his roles in Halt and Catch Fire and season three of Fargo. Joining the lead pairing for the new season will be Carmen Ejogo, who is set to play Amelia Reardon, a local teacher with a connection to children who went missing in the 80s. The British actress appeared in sci-fi prequel Alien: Covenant last year and is currently starring in season two of The Girlfriend Experience.

HBO released a statement confirming that the next instalment of the True Detective anthology will tell the story of “a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods”. Despite the success of season one, which saw McConaughey and Harrelson take on the iconic roles of Rustin Cohle and Martin Hart, season two suffered a dip in ratings, so it looks like Pizzolatto is keen to recreate some of the magic of season one. Plans to use different time periods in season three are quite reminiscent of season one, which saw non-linear subplots run concurrently throughout the show, telling the characters’ stories at different stages of their lives. The creator of the gritty crime series will be directing most episodes of season three and will be joined by Jeremy Saulnier, who has directed movies Green Room and Blue Ruin.

    excited!!!!!!!!!!!!
