Waited for 20 minutes to get into the theater as some party people were saying slogans against the movie and finally police had to step in to make way for viewers to get inside.
About the movie, it truly deserved all the 7 state awards it received but it's certainly not an awardish type stuff and is more than that. Director Kamal is back on track after a long time and full credit goes to him.
Pritiviraj- Wah!! What a performance.. Undoubtedly the best talented actor and is way ahead than all other present young actors. The girl who played Rossy was the second best performance and all other characters, big it a small role also, put up a good show.
Technically, the movie is top notch with excellent work in Art Direction, cinematography department and credits to costume designer also as it all plays a big part in a period movie. M.Jayachandran is on a high now and his 2 songs perfectly matched the movie's mood and no wonder why he keeps on fetching awards one after the other.
With so many positives in the movie, can't find much negatives except for the make up of Mamata's aged look. Overall, Celluloid may not be a classic but definitely not a movie to be a missed.
Verdict: Recommended.
