The wedding reception of art director
Lalgudi N Ilaiyaraja was held in
Chennai’s Green Park Hotel, this past
Sunday, the 10 th of March. The event
was attended by Kamal Haasan and
Vishnuvardhan as Ilaiyaraja has been
associated with their respective
movies, Vishwaroopam and the Ajith
starrer tentatively titled Valai.
Ilaiyaraja also worked in the critically
acclaimed Haridas and is also a part of
the Simbu starrer Vaalu. Simbu could
not attend the reception though.
The crew who worked in the above
mentioned movies were also in full
attendance on this joyous occasion.

Vishwaroopam 2 to be made in Auro-3D

Filmmaker and actor Kamal Hassan is
all charged up to make a sequel to his
recent film Vishwaroopam and said it
will be made in Auro-3D this time.
"The sequel will be made in Auro-3D,"
he told the reporters earlier today
(March 13) after a session at the
ongoing FICCI Frames here. "We have
started working on the sequel. We are
quite charged up about it," he added.
Auro-3D is an audio format that
delivers a full three-dimensional sound
spread.
Vishwaroopam was made with the
budget of Rs 95 crores. After facing a
lot of troubles and getting banned in
Tamil Nadu for 15 days, the movie
went on to make record collections at
the Box Office and also won
appreciation from various quarters.
Directed and produced by Kamal
Hassan, Vishwaroopam was an
international espionage thriller. Besides
Kamal, the movie featured Rahul Bose,
Pooja Kumar and Shekhar Kapur
among others.

Now Vishwaroopam 2 in Auro 3D

“We are doing Vishwaroopam 2. ...
This time the sequel will come in Auro
3D," Kamal told reporters here on
Wednesday
he sequel to ‘Vishwaroopam’ will come
soon in 3D sound format, also known
as Auro 3D, actor-filmmaker Kamal
Haasan said.
After the success of Vishwaroopam ,
which had utilised the Auro 3D sound
technology, Kamal’s Vishwaroopam 2
is in the making. The sequel is also
likely to be released this year.
“We are doing Vishwaroopam 2. We
are working on it.
We are quite charged up for it. This
time the sequel will come in Auro 3D,”
Kamal told reporters here on
Wednesday.
Vishwaroopam was embroiled in a
controversy after a section of people
demanded a ban on the film’s
screening, claiming that it hurt the
sentiments of a community.
Following the protests, the movie was
banned from screening across Tamil
Nadu and in some other states but was
released after few days.
The espionage thriller was reportedly
made on a budget of Rs. 95 crore and
has grossed over Rs. 220 crore.
The sequel will reportedly focus more
on mother-son sentiments.

Vishwaroopam-2 in 3D
Kamal Hasan has made an
announcement that “Vishwaroopam-2”
will done in 3D surround format which
is also known as Auro 3D. He is on
the job with American technocrat
Wilfried Van Baelen for the movie.
Kamal Hassan said, “Yes, we're
converting Vishwaroop to Auro 3D.
Wilfried Van Baelen was here to help
us get the format right. It's not as
complicated as it sounds. When sound
converted from mono to stereophonic,
we were like, 'Wow this really changes
the sound of cinema!' Then came
Dolby sound. And now we have Auro
3D.”
Viswaroopam 2 will be the second
movie to have Auro 3D after George
Lucas' Red Tail.
