ടി പി ചന്ദ്രശേഖരന്*റെ ഒന്നാം രക്തസാക്ഷിത്വ ദിനമാണ് വരുന്ന മേയ് നാല്. കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട് ഒരു വര്*ഷം പൂര്*ത്തിയാകുമ്പോഴും പത്രങ്ങളുടെ മുന്**പേജുകളില്* ടി പി നിറഞ്ഞുനില്*ക്കുന്നു. ചാനലുകളിലെല്ലാം ടി പി എന്ന പേര് നിരന്തരം കേള്*ക്കുന്നു. ടി പി കേസില്* കൂറുമാറുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണം വര്*ദ്ധിക്കുന്നു. കേസിനെ ചുറ്റിപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള ചര്*ച്ചകള്* കൊഴുക്കുന്നു.
ടി പി ചന്ദ്രശേഖരനായി മമ്മൂട്ടി അഭിനയിക്കുന്നു എന്നതാണ് പുതിയ വാര്*ത്ത. ഐ വി ശശി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന സിനിമയിലാണത്രേ മമ്മൂട്ടി ടി പിയാകാനൊരുങ്ങുന്നത്. ടി പി കൊല്ലപ്പെടുന്നതിനും വളരെക്കാലം മുമ്പ് ടി ദാമോദരന്* എഴുതിയ ഒരു തിരക്കഥയെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയാണ് ഐ വി ശശി സിനിമ ചെയ്യുന്നത്.
ഒരു കമ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് നേതാവിന്*റെ രക്തസാക്ഷിത്വത്തേക്കുറിച്ചാണ് ടി ദാമോദരന്* ഒരു വണ്**ലൈന്* രചിച്ചത്. അതിന് ശേഷം ഏറെക്കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞാണ് ടി പി കൊല്ലപ്പെടുന്നത്. അത്ഭുതകരമായ സാമ്യമായിരുന്നു ആ തിരക്കഥയും ടി പിയുടെ കൊലപാതക സംഭവവും തമ്മില്*.
ഐ വി ശശിയെ കോഴിക്കോട് വച്ച് ആദരിച്ചപ്പോള്* മമ്മൂട്ടിയും മോഹന്*ലാലും കമലഹാസനും ഒരു അഭ്യര്*ത്ഥനയേ നടത്തിയുള്ളൂ - ശശി വീണ്ടും സജീവമാകണം.
എന്തായാലും എല്ലാവരുടെയും അഭ്യര്*ത്ഥന മാനിച്ച് ഐ വി ശശി തിരിച്ചുവരവിന് ഒരുങ്ങുകയാണ്. ടി പി ചന്ദ്രശേഖരന്* വധമാണ് സിനിമയുടെ വിഷയം. ടി ദാമോദരര്* രചിച്ച തിരക്കഥ പൂര്*ത്തിയാക്കുന്നത് മകള്* ദീദി ദാമോദരനാണ്. ബിഗ് ബജറ്റില്* ഒരുങ്ങുന്ന ഈ രാഷ്ട്രീയ ചിത്രത്തില്* മമ്മൂട്ടി നായകനാകുന്നു എന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്*ട്ടുകള്*.
