Mumbai Police - My Review.

Its difficult to put a review on this movie.. In one word, its the story of a police officer 'Antony Mosses' who cannot connect his past and future after a serious accident. He was investigating a murder case.

After the incident, he forgets the developments of the case he was investigating. Later on, as he recovers and re enter the service, he is again given the charge to investigate the same case.

It can be viewed in 2 perspectives. Excellent direction, good theme, good script, good performances, good BGM. But, certain over experimentations at the end makes it irritating towards the last.

Prithvi as Antony Mosses delivers a very good performance, so as Jayasurya and Rahman. Everyone did a fine job.
Rosshan Andrews' brilliant direction and stylish making is the biggest positive of the movie.
Well scripted by Bobby - Sanjay team.. They tried to do something different. Its an experiment, and it may recieve mixed response.
BGM by Gopi Sunder match the mood of a suspense thriller.. well done.
Cinematography is average.

Jayasurya, Rahman - Very good.
Direction - Brilliant. Rosshan was able to connect the mental trauma of the hero to the viewers.

Who, How - Excellent.

Negatives

Few dragging scenes in first half. The movie needs to be trimmed by atleast 15 minutes.

Why - MOTIVE????
The biggest and the only negative of the movie is the motive and climax.. it may not be digestable for common viewers like me.. Last 20 mins were really irritating.. It was a brave attempt, Ok.. but over experimentation spoiled an exceptional thriller...

Over all, Mumbai Police is not a bad flick. It has many good moments through out. The mental trauma of the hero is very well taken. Good direction, Good BGM...
But its a matter of acceptance. As a common viewer, one may not be able to digest the last 20 mins and the climax.

Mixed to negative response after the movie.. heard many bad comments too..

My Verdict : Good attempt, but..

Rating : 6/10

NB : It may become a DVD classic..
