Saw Lal Jr's HoneyBee with my extended family today.

In shot first half is a Laugh Riot and 2nd half is a semi thriller. Director and others have been succesfull in making people laugh out loud in the the 1st half which is what was expected. In the 2nd half the expectation was for people to get the feeling of a thriller. That is where the film dissappoints little bit - It fails to thrill you much even though director and others tries to cover up the same with style.

I think it is after a long time I am watching a movie which made me laugh like this during the 1st Half. Baburaj, Sreenath Basi and all played an excellent role in making the 1st half so much entertaining. The Kochi style dialogues of Baburaj where you can find at least one English word in a sentence was awesome. Also other friends in the group. Overall it is a highly entertaining 1st Half. Not only for me, my wife, elder daughter other families etc. Not sure what is there so much that could not be liked by families here. The only problem I felt in 1st Half was that Asif Ali and Bhavana was not a good pair. Bhavana looked too old for Asif Ali. Adhum aval aake odi avinja pole thonni

2nd Half is where the film dissappoints little bit since it fails in the core expectation from 2nd Half - Which is to thrill the viewers. Lal Jr tries to bring in some good style with Amal Neerad style takings but still lacks the thrilling part. Also did not like brothers except for Lal Sr. Still the film does not make you bored any time in the 2nd Half.

Nicely shot. Lal Jr looks promising in the first film.
1st Half - Excellent.
Baburaj, Sreenath Basi.
Kochi and Kochi Slangs.

Negatives
2nd Half to some extent.
Brothers except for Lal Sr.
Archana Kavi - Oru maadhiri avinja saadhanam.
Lead Pair - Oru cherchayilaayma.

Performance
Asif - Okay
Baburaj - Excellent
Sreenath Basi - Excellent

Crowd Response
Loud laughters throughout 1st Half

Rating - In spite of the problems in 2nd Half I would still rate the movie high since it Entertains us and does not make you bored at any moment. 4/5.
Final Word - Very good Entertainer with an excellent 1st Half.

Vaalkashanam - Bilal Ikkayudem pillerudem shade nallonam ondu idhile heroine-inte Brothers-inu. Pakshe Bilal-inte aa toughness and perfection, that is lacking in all.
