Ananya replaces Gauthami Nair in 100 Degree Celcius

Rakesh Gopan's women-centric flick, 100 Degree Celsius, is already in the news for its casting. A few weeks back, there was buzz that actress Gauthami Nair has opted out of Rakesh's film.

We now hear that another female lead, Aparna Nair, too has opted out citing date issues. While actress Ananya will replace Gauthami, Kollywood actress Haritha will replace Aparna in the film.

Based on a real-life incident, 100 Degree Celsius revolves around the lives of five women — a housewife, banker, IT professional, TV reporter and a college student. Ananya and Haritha will essay the roles of college student and housewife respectively, while Shwetha Menon will play the IT professional. Meghana Raj and Bhamaa have been roped in for the role of a TV reporter and banker, respectively.

Interestingly, it's after a hiatus that Ananya is making her presence in Mollywood. Haritha, after sizzling on the Kollywood screens, will make her Mollywood debut with this film.

Earlier, it was reported that Lakshmi Rai is also a part of the project. However, the director refutes the rumours and says, "Lakshmi Rai was never part of it." Scripted by Vinu Abraham, the movie is scheduled to go on floors next month.
