Ennapara total +vil kerala ethramathaanu ippo?

njaan stay cheyyunna statil (USA), 3 weeks mumpu vare 8-10% aayirunnu +vity. It was less compared to other states. But ippo althu 18-22% aayi. Huge increase in case numbers but total tests per day have gone down. It doesn't mean government is not doing anything. There are still restrictions and masks are "mandated". But issue is attitude of people. No one is following rules and they don't care about virus is spreading because of their negligance. Not much can be done by government....

even if v reach the peak and come down we will have the second wave then third wave and so on. Europe and UAE is now experiencing the second wave. Without vaccine no hope left. dont think family audience will go to theaters even if they r open. 90% of the youngsters who r staying with their parents may also think twice before going for cinemas.

agreed nothing can a gov do in this situation. the only thing they can do is lock down which is not good for the economy. its the responsibility of each and every one to fight against corona. But what happened with kerala gov is that in May when cases reached near 0 they thought they have won the battle against corona. Same with central gov also. Almost all countries underestimated the severity of this virus. The real fear is that if corona is a bio weapon by china as feared by many it will be really difficult to find a perfect vaccine and even if v can find one it may take years.

Kerala, the state which attained global acclaim for implementation of successful model in containing COVID-19 in the initial phase, has entered the most critical phase of the pandemic. It is one of the states having the highest number of active cases in the country. The test positivity rate is steeping to new heights with the current rate is 12 positive cases among 100 tested.

Kerala wins United Nations award for preventing, controlling non-communicable diseases

On September 24th, Kerala received an award from the United Nations for its “outstanding contribution” towards preventing and controlling the spread of non-communicable diseases, PTI reported. The UN Interagency Task Force award was announced by World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

In June, Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja was honoured by the United Nations for her efforts to tackle the coronavirus pandemic. She was among a few of the world leaders invited to speak on the occasion of the United Nations Public Service Day.

This award recognises achievements during 2019 on the multisectoral action in the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, mental health and the wider sustainable development goals related to it. T
his is the first time Kerala has been recognised for the annual award.

I was asking about total +ve cases....That is still less in Kerala because we did an awesome job while all others were struggling to contain the virus....Now it is getting out of control because of attitude of people after initial lockdown. Unless there is a total lock down (it will not be possible because everything is politicized nowadays), most of them will not care.....

Congrats to everyone involved. In my opinion it is well deserved, especially for putting together and executing initial plan
