KQ : A complete low standard movie by all
means.
Actor Baiju Johnson's first directorial
venture KQ got released this Friday. Even
after knowing the outcome of this film, I
just gave a try on watching this flick.
Synopsis : Movie starts with the narration
from Janardhanan. He speaks from an
Enfield bike's point of view. He explains
his history (Bike's history) and the present
owners of the bike. This leads to the
introduction of KQ's heroes. They live in
Mattanchery. Manzeer works in a shop
which is owned by his uncle. Roshan is a
friend of Manzeer and he is jobless.
Manzeer is also a very good singer. One
day, Sunaina who is a correspondent of
London Times Newspaper, comes for
making an article on Manzeer and Roshan.
She is also preparing an article on
Mattanchery. So she stays with Manzeer &
Roshan. The series of incidents that happen
to their life after the arrival of Sunaina
forms the rest of the story.
In the making side, Baiju Johnson was a
complete disappointment in the field of
direction. Even the script has nothing to
offer for the viewers. Length of the movie
is 105 minutes. Out of this, around 30
minutes goes for songs and rest is filled
with some irrelevant scenes. Somehow, he
manages to finish the movie. He includes
one fight scene which looks very similar to
that of 'Big B', where he fight like
Mammukka and telling the same dialogues.
Original fight sequence of 'Big B' is also
shown. Mammukka fans won't forgive
Baiju for spoiling the name of 'Big B' by
including these kind of stupid scenes. In
the music area, out of the 6 songs, only 2
songs were impressive. Bgm doesn't sync
with the scenes. In short, Technical side
was a big let down.
On the acting side, Hero role played by
Baiju doesn't suits him at all. Baiju had
given some good characters for us through
Traffic, Pokkiriraja etc. He is spoiling his
own name by taking these kind of roles.
The new face actor Anson Paul was
somewhat okay in his acting when
comparing to Baiju. Parvathi Omanakuttan
was the only relief for the viewers. Even
though her acting is average, her screen
presence gave some kind of satisfaction.
After 'Tejabhai & Family', Shakeela again
comes as a guest appearance in this movie.
Rest cast includes Salim Kumar, Tiny Tom
etc.
Overall, Thumbs down for this low
standard movie. Recommended only for
the Cast & Crew of this film
Rating : 1/5 (Rating 1 is given for Parvathi
Omanakuttan)
Note : I was confused with the title KQ.
But the makers themselves shows the
expansion for KQ at intermission.
