Zakkariyayude Garbhinikal : A refreshing
storyline with a convincing ending.
After the movie "Kalimannu", one more
movie is released which deals with
pregnancy as the main backdrop, but with
a different approach.

Synopsis : The story narrates the life of
Zakhariya and his 3 patients who got
pregnant and has different problems. Dr.
Zakhariya is a Gynaecologist who runs his
own hospital. He is a successful
Gynaecologist who has more than 20 years
of experience. He lives with his wife Susan
and they have no children. Three pregnant
women comes to his life as patients. Out
of this, first women is Anuradha who
become pregnant due to an extra marital
affair with her husband's friend. Second
women is Sister Jasmine Jennifer aged 53,
who become pregnant through Artificial
Insemenation. Third Women is Zaira who
is a school girl and become pregnant. She
is not ready to tell the reason for her
pregnancy. Due to some situation,
Zakhariya's hospital staff Fathima, who is
a nurse acts as a pregnant women in front
of everybody. Rest of the movie deals with
the incidents that happens in the life of
Zakhariya and these five women.

In the making side, Aneesh Anwar's
direction was good enough to carry out
thr movie. He narrates the entire movie in
a convincing manner. Script work was
handled by the director along with Nizam
Rauther. Eventhough, movie was slight
lagging in the second half, the last 40
minutes took this movie to a decent level.
All 3 songs are good. My personal favorite
song is 'Veyil Chilla pookkum' which
already tops the chart. On the negative
side, some unwanted scenes and the song
in the second half could have been
avoided.

In the acting side, Character of Zakhariya
played by Lal was the best. Eventhough
movie is some what female oriented type,
Lal steals the show with his natural acting.
He got another good role in his acting
carrier. Asha Sarath played the role of
Zakhariya's wife. She handled that role in a
convincing way. Among the Pregnant
women, Sanusha got the important role.
She got a performance oriented role for
the first time and she succeeded to some
extend in handling that role of Zaira.
Geetha played the role of Jasmine and she
handled that role in an apt manner.
Sandra Thomas handled the role of
Anuradha. She delivers a decent
performance and the role suits her well.
Reema Kallingal handled the role of Nurse
Fathima and had nothing to do in this
movie. Only her slang stands variety here.
Aju Varghese appears as Ajmal who has
strong feelings for Fathima.

Overall, Zakkariyayude Garbhinikal ends up
as an one time watchable flick. This won't
satisfy everyone. Recommended only for
those who feel to watch the movie after
reading this review can go and watch. Rest
people who enjoys only commercial
masala movies can stay away.
