G third generation : A below average movie
with a good theme.
I had no expectations on this movie before
watching since this is a movie with a group of
youngsters in the lead roles. Anyway, movie
crossed my expectations but ended up as a
below average movie.
Synopsis : Manu, Suresh, & John are friends. All
three of them aims for getting SI selection. They
passed PSC test for SI selection and are waiting
for the physical test. Eventhough they passed
physical test, their names got replaced with
those who didn't even attended the test, due to
the involvement of some political leaders. They
got motivated by a Ex. Communist leader to
fight for justice. How three of them fight against
the injustice shown by the politicians ?
Problems they faced even after getting SI
selection and how they deals with it, forms the
rest of the story.
In the technical side, Direction by Jayaprakaash
was average. His direction was not engaging. It
was entertaining only at some parts. The training
session and physical test scenes were taken in a
pleasing way. Coming to the scripting side, it
had a good theme. But, immaturish script which
was unconvincing at some prominent parts
spoils the mood of viewers. Almost all jokes
were taken from Tintumon comedies. If the
script was handled in a careful manner with
good direction, this movie would have been an
above average flick. Music side was satifactory.
3 songs were good which are also picturised
well. Bgm was okay.
In the acting side, John Jacob played the role of
Manu and Arun Narayanan handled the role of
Suresh. They both did a satisfactory
performance. Mehul James was not upto the
mark. Vidhya Unni played the female lead role.
She did a decent job. But she had very less
importance in the second half. If the male lead
roles was given to some youth icons of
Malayalam cinema, this would have been a
noticable flick. Sai Kumar got a good supporting
role and did that role nicely.
Overall, the movie 3G ended up as a below
average flick. Not a recommendable movie.
