Kaanchi : An average movie if you go with zero
expectations.
Indrajith - Murali Gopi combo gave high
expectations to the first day viewers. But sadly,
movie was not able to meet the expectations.
Since I heard many negative reviews about this
movie on the first day, I watched this flick
without any expectations. So, this movie
satisfied me to some extend.
Synopsis : Story is about a common man
Madhavan, who runs a grocery shop in his
village. He leads a peaceful life. But one day, he
happens to see a murder which took place in
front of his shop. Murder was done by
Peringodan who is a renowned criminal. The rest
of the movie deals with the problems that
happens to Madhavan's life after that Murder
and how he overcomes those problems.
In the technical side, script by Jeyamohan was
satisfactory but the climax scenes spoiled the
entire script. Direction by Jeeyen Krishnakumar
was below average. With this movie, he proved
that he is not capable of handling these kind of
subjects. The overdose of slow motion scenes
spoils the mood. Bgm was interesting but it had
some similarities with the Bgm of some other
movies. Songs were fine.
In the acting side, Indrajith handled the role of
Madhavan nicely. The role of Madhavan was well
suited one of Indrajith. Murali Gopi dons the
role of Peringodan and he handled that role in
perfection. He got a good negative role after a
small gap. Archana Gupta was the female lead in
the movie. She looks cute and charming in her
role and her acting was okay. But she had less
importance in the second half. Rest cast includes
Joy Mathew, Sathaar, Sudheer Karamana etc.
Overall, the movie Kaanchi ended up as an
average movie since I went with no
expectations. But when comparing to the recent
Indrajith - Murali Gopi combo flicks, this was a
disappointing experience.
