I did not have much expectations about this movie mainly due to the track record of VKP after Beautiful. The only thing which gave a +ve vibe for me was the stills that came out. Mam looked dashing in those stills.

Now to the movie. The titles of the movie and the background score itself was nice and I liked the same. It matched what is expected from a thriller. Then comes a very plain introduction of Mam which also is justified to the genre of the movie. The first 15 minutes or so focuses on the career growth and family side of Adv. Aravindan. VKP has taken the same nicely and to add to that we have a dashing and energetic Mam. He matches very well with our concept of present day young couple and nuclear family. The family time with his family in Blore and with his parents in Kerala is shown very nicely and Mam looks really cool in those scenes. From then on film takes a different turn with a phone call. It does not switch from a family mode to thriller mode all of a sudden. From the phone call onwards the thrill is slowly built up and there is a chain of incidents that unfolds involving his kids and wife. Everything intended just to scare Adv Aravindan. And the culprit is successfull with the same. Unlike usual movies Police is not kept in the dark and they are involved with the incident right from the beginning and starts of their investigation. Towards the interval they get very close to catching the culprit with an interesting turn and punch. Interval punch is superb and stops as if they caught the man behind all these but still no clue what is going on.

Post interval film moves from a thriller mode to an investigative mode. Adv Aravindan and his team along with the support of cops is trying to unfold the mystery behind this and they cracks the case in the following 30 mins or so. The flash back stories and issues are shown without any lag. VKP has adopted an approach of showing the present and flashback together with superb editing which ensures there is no lag felt with the flash back scenes. I think Renjith adopted a similar method in Paleri too. Anyway it has worked out well and the suspense is revealed stage by stage throughout the 2nd half, with all clear probable 10 or 15 mins prior to climax. Then the film goes on to a climax fight which is shot in a location apt for this movie and well taken.

Summary - Overall a nicely executed thriller with a dashing and energetic Mam in the lead. It is amazing to watch this man perform in such roles and of course superb dialogue delivery. Through out the movie Mam's character maintains his cool in spite of all these which matches with the profession of his character. There is no shouting, no over excitement nothing. It is all handled coolly as a Professional Advocate would do.

Positives
Mammootty, Mammootty, Mammootty - Superb appearance, dialogue delivery and cool acting. Amazing guy man.
Direction - Job well done VKP.
Script - Again very good. There are definitely loop holes but that is okay and forgivable.

Negatives
There is no major twist or something at the climax with suspense revealed before the climax itself.

Crowd Response
You know the multiplex crowd right. At interval there were few claps and at the end of the movie there were few claps. Otherwise no much response. But I think people were enjoying the movie sliently.

Final Word - Definitely must watch for Mam fans with his dashing and cool performance. For others a good watch if you like this genre of movies. If you are a fan of Masala movies alone please stay away.
