Debutant Karthika will be directing this movie. Mammootty has been said to have given his dates for the movie and the shooting of the film is likely to kick start in Munnar very soon. The female lead of the film and also the rest of the cast are not finalised yet. But, rumours are taking rounds which states that the female lead is likey to be afresh face.Meanwhile, Mammootty's most awaited movie for the year 2014 is The Gangster. Directed by Aashiq Abu, the movie will see Mammootty essaying the role of a don. The shooting of the movie has already begun and it is claimed to be suspense thriller. Mammootty will be joining the sets of the movie on January 5.It was earlier rumoured that Tamil actors Vijay and Ajith were a part of the film. But, later the news were slammed down and got confirmed that The Gangster is solely a Mammootty starred movie.
