London bridge - my review
theatre: sandra - mavelikara
show time: 8.45 pm
theatre status: 70%
synopsis: vijay (prithviraj) is a leading businessman in london.
One day he get in clash with the another famous mallu businessman, nambiar(prathap pothen). Francis(mukesh) who is vijay's legal advisor and god father try to solve the problem with nambiar.
Meanwhile nambiar came to know that vijay struggled a lot to be a successful businessman in london. So nambiar asks vijay to marry his only daughter pavithra(andrea) who is doing charity works.
Vijay keeps eye on pavithra's wealth and he started to impress her in many ways to gain her love. During this time vijay's car hit a girl named merin(nandhitha). Merin got her right hand paralysed due to the accident. Pavithra who is intersted in charity works forces vijay to take care of merin. Vijay take care merin to impress pavithra. Meanwhile both vijay and merin fall in love with each other.
Pavithra also started loving vijay by seeing his helping mentality and care. And thus london bridge became a triangular love story of vijay-merin-pavithra.
About the movie: its nothing but the old wine in new bottle. But the fact is still it has some freshness.
This movie is a question mark to the young generation who love girls for just entertainment and money.it will make them to rethink in their preferences between love and money.
And this is how the movie is different from other triangular love stories. The movie was lagging in its pace here and there. It will be much more better if they summarize up in 2 hours.
About the cast: once again prithviraj showed his excellance in acting. He looks so stylish in this movie.but the actresses (both andrea and nandhitha) failed to express the intensity of deep love on the screens.
Prathap pothen was the next show stealer with his powerful looks and mannerisms. Both mukesh and lena excelled in their roles.
About technical sides: the cinematoraphy is the top grade incredient of this movie. The frames captured by jithu damodhar was a visual treat for all audiences. He magnificently captured the ethnic beauty of london in his frames. Bgm by gopi sunder was also nice though he has previously used the same bgm score in the movie black butterfly.
Direction was pretty good. But the script by jinu abraham is failed to impress the audience, since the theme has no freshness.
Verdict: if you seriously loved anyone in your life and lost them, then this movie will haunt you like anything. If you cheated any girls for money then this will make you to rethink and regret.
In one line its a visual treat for prithviraj fans. For others its just a below average movie with lags and an expected climax.
Rating: 2.5 / 5
