kadhayil kure karayangal Kanikkundu.. especially that of Jayasuryas character.. The film shows Aaron as a typical young kid who plays cricket and does pranks!. During his childhood an accident causes him to lose his eyesight, this causes him to endure the difficulties of a blind life. Jayasurya plays the adult Aaron who actually tells his childhood part of the story to Aparna gopinaths character sia. He was making a big mark for himself by becoming part of the blind cricket team coached by Lal's character. Then the journey goes bumpy and not as happy.
In this movie mostly everything is a positive from acting direction to a unique cinematography and music.. The negative is the second half of the movie but it can easily be ignored.
Happy Journey is nothing, but a good entertainer which can be watched with your family. ,acting of Jayasurya is truly the best along with rest of the cast. Definetly deserves an award for his performance. Direction of Boban Samuel, did a fantastic job, especially the several shots......he has really improved
BGM and songs by Gopi Sunder is perfect and is enjoyable to hear! Jayasurya's song was a good one too!
For a weekend with your family Happy Journey will make you smile, cry and be touched.
Sorry its a quick review cant say much more. But the title doesnt seem as it is refering to the plot at all. Maybe the journey of Aaron as a blind cricketer in his new life or maybe its a happy journey for the audience entering into the life of aaron. This unlike 1983 doesnt include cricket as the main theme for the movie but uses cricket as a way that a struggling blind man regains his happiness.
Rating : 3.75/5
I heard this movie is based on the real life of a Blind malayalee who participated in the blind cricket league, so I think this story is actually truly his because the 2nd half would've added more entertainment elements otherwise..
This is definitely a film that everyone should watch. I don't think we have seen that many films talking about how you can gain happiness in a dark world. Metaphorically and literally..
