Seventh Day -- A review

There is no denying the fact that 'Seventh Day' is a respectable effort yet it never quite becomes sum of its parts and graduates into a perfect suspense Mystery.The movie opens nicely as we see its protagonist David Abraham (Pritviraj) narrate well written voiceovers on the night and its secrets..which pretty much conveys the core of the film as he finds him drawn to the life of four youngsters who are caught in certain desperate situations.

The movie succeds in grabbing the attention right from the start and the intrigue is maintained through out.But its the sudden transitions in the narrative which makes movie less enjoyable than it ought to have been.It doesnt mean that the film lacks gripping moments,there are quite a few of them and the movie is at top of its game everytime its dashing protagonist who gets to chew up the best lines of the film shows himself up.

The largely engrossing screenplay is weigh down to a certain extent by its incompetent supporting cast except Vinay fort,who does complete justice to his well written role.

In the end its another case of the star towering above the film.Sporting grey,Pritviraj yet again gets into the skin of the role ad delivers an elegant performance that makes you stand up and take notice.

Despite the obvious predictabilities I recommend you give this film a chance since its much more superior than mysteries to have hit screens recently and keeps you largely engaged.
